Protecting Wildlife
Our programs prioritize the health and welfare of Indonesia's primates, through rescue, intensive medical care, rehabilitation, and release. We also address human-animal conflict, especially with long-tailed macaques, and rescue endemic animals that are injured or involved in illegal trade.

Our programs prioritize the health and welfare of Indonesia's primates, through rescue, intensive medical care, rehabilitation, and release. We also address human-animal conflict, especially with long-tailed macaques, and rescue endemic animals that are injured or involved in illegal trade.
Rehabilitation
Animals receive medical care and training to prepare them for an independent life back in the wild.
Release
Once recovered, the animals are returned to safe and protected natural habitats.
Monitoring
The team continues monitoring to ensure the animals adapt well after release.

Orangutan
The orangutan (Pongo spp.) is an endemic animal of Indonesia, currently critically endangered (CR). Sadly, many cases of orangutan hunting still occur, where they are captured to be kept as pets or for collections. Our orangutan conservation program includes rescue, intensive medical care, rehabilitation, release, and ongoing monitoring of orangutans.

Kukang
The slow loris (Nycticebus spp.), a small nocturnal animal, is currently classified as endangered (EN) and requires conservation efforts for its preservation. The well-being of slow lorises is threatened by ongoing hunting. Our slow loris conservation program includes rescue, intensive medical care, rehabilitation, release, and monitoring of slow lorises.

Macaca
Our macaque conservation program focuses on the long-tailed macaque (Macaca fascicularis), which is currently endangered (EN). Recently, conflicts between macaques and humans have become more frequent due to land conversion into settlements, leading to overlapping habitats for humans and long-tailed macaques. One of the programs we implement related to macaques is the HMC (Human Macaque Conflict), which involves efforts to prevent and manage conflicts between humans and long-tailed macaques.
