In 2007, the primate rehabilitation center in Ciapus, Bogor, West Java, was established, a year before YIARI officially received legal status from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights. The primate rehabilitation center in Ciapus is specifically dedicated to slow lorises and macaques. It is the first slow loris rehabilitation center in Indonesia.
On February 14, 2008, Yayasan IAR Indonesia received legal status from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia, and YIARI began assisting more Indonesian wildlife.
The orangutan rehabilitation center in Ketapang, West Kalimantan, was initiated by YIARI in 2009. However, the complete facilities at this orangutan rehabilitation center were fully established in Sei Awan Village, Ketapang, West Kalimantan, in 2012. Currently, the orangutan rehabilitation center occupies an area of approximately 200 hectares, which includes medical facilities and forested areas for rehabilitating orangutans before their release.
The first comprehensive learning center in Kalimantan was inaugurated on July 10, 2019. The facility includes accommodations for a spacious meeting room that can be used for workshops and presentations, a café, and numerous open areas for training and seminars.
